This Privacy Policy explains how FolderTask ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. Name, email address, and password (stored hashed), or, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile email and name.
• Organization & content. The folders, tasks, comments, files, and other content you and your team create ("Customer Data").
• Billing information. Subscription and plan details. Card numbers are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not store full card details.
• Agent & integration data. Configuration and activity for AI agents and connected services you set up, and any API keys or credentials you choose to store with us to enable features.
• Usage & device data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• To process subscriptions, trials, and payments;
• To send transactional messages (verification, invites, receipts, security notices);
• To run features you enable, including AI agents and email/outreach capabilities;
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate confidentiality obligations, including:

• Stripe — payment processing;
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and email delivery (Amazon SES);
• Google — optional sign-in (OAuth);
• AI model providers — to process prompts/content when you use AI features (only as needed to provide the feature).

We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of users and the public, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features may not work without them.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain Customer Data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it, unless we are required to keep it longer for legal or accounting reasons. You can request deletion as described below.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. Organization administrators can also manage and delete much of their data directly in the Service.

8. International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-app). The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision.
